At Zion, fellowship isn't a program β it's what happens when people who have been forgiven by the same Lord share life together. Our fellowship groups give the congregation a place to gather, serve, and encourage one another beyond Sunday morning.
Womenβs Fellowship
Zion's Women's Fellowship is a vibrant and active part of congregation life, gathering for fellowship events throughout the year β roughly monthly or more β and channeling that community into tangible service for others.
Some of what they do:
Diaper and baby supply drives for families in need. Blessing bags for unhoused neighbors during the winter months. Sponsoring meals during the Lenten and Advent seasons. And a calendar of fellowship events that keeps the congregation connected and cared for year round.
Members also actively participate in local, regional, and national Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) conferences and events, connecting Zion's women to the broader work of the church and its mission around the world.
If you're looking for a place to plug in, serve your neighbor, and build real friendships around a shared faith, Women's Fellowship is a great place to start. Contact the church office to find out what's coming up next.
Menβs Fellowship
The Men's Fellowship group gathers every Thursday morning at 9:00am for breakfast at Main Street Cafe in Festus β an informal time of conversation, encouragement, and occasional Bible discussion where faith and everyday life get talked about in the same breath.
Beyond the weekly breakfast, the group periodically hosts social events throughout the year and comes together annually for a service project benefiting members of the congregation or community β typically hands-on work where an extra set of hands makes a real difference.
All men of the congregation are welcome. Just show up on a Thursday morning and introduce yourself.
OWLS (Older Wiser Lutherans) Senior Fellowship Group
Our senior members gather informally from time to time, often heading to lunch together after Sunday worship or Bible study. It's low-key, warm, and exactly the kind of thing that makes a small congregation feel like a family.
If you're looking for connection with others in your stage of life, you'll find it here.
